What we do
Transgendercheck.nl is a free online check that uses 50 yes/no questions to help distinguish between long-term, stable gender doubt and signals that usually point to something else — trauma, autism, depression, social influence, or the normal identity-searching of puberty.
What we don't do
We do not make diagnoses
We do not refer you elsewhere
We do not link your answers to your name or email.
We do not send you a newsletter
We do not sell treatment, guidance, or a subscription.
Where does this come from?
The Transcheck arose from the observation that there are few publicly accessible tools in the Netherlands that help young people distinguish between "something is going on" and "I need to go to a gender clinic immediately". The prevailing Dutch approach—affirmation and referral—has been under reconsideration abroad for years.
The Cass Review (UK, 2024), the Hilana Cass findings, the policies of Sweden and Finland since 2019, and the experiences of detransitioners together form the substantive background. The questions themselves are practical — they are about your life, not about your theory.
